With massive customization options, both for your character and the game experience, it gives you a lot of control over your experience. If you’re curious as to what happens if you give Duke Nukem free rein over the GTA world, Duke Theft Auto has all the answers. The playthrough is short, but it still works as a quick peek of what a GTA - Duke Nukem crossover looks like. Also, while there are various episodes, they mostly last a couple of minutes. Similarly, the same audio doesn’t apply to specific parts, such as phone calls. On the plus side, the animation and collision can get buggy, as seen when vehicles stack and overlap with each other. It also features recorded voice lines from citizens. It is filled with vehicles and pedestrians, rendered in flat 2D models, which creates an authentic retro feel. Visually, the games adapt retro 3D visuals. Instead, you gain specific sections of these levels, which are remade with a striking resemblance. With that said, it doesn’t mean that you get to access these games’ full maps. On the plus side, it covers different games like Liberty City from Grand Theft Auto III and San Andreas from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. However, instead of an entire story experience, you get to choose between episodes. From customizing your character model, audio, and video, to full controller support, it is a complete game on its own. Right off the bat, Duke Theft Auto boasts a lot of features.
